Our next Dialogues in Dharma get together will focus on Nirankar Singh Khalsa’s favorite Shabad – Jo Jo Desai, So So Rogi! This Shabad was written by Guru Arjan Dev Ji, the fifth Sikh Guru, and appears on Ang 1140 of the Siri Guru Granth Sahib.

In Nirankar Singh’s own words:
“The name of the shabad I have in my heart is Jo Jo Desai, So So Rogi. Most of what I will comment and reflect on is my personal, humble experience of the shabad, as well as how the verses of the shabad speak to me directly and describe, express and transmit an ever-present human reality on spirituality to this present day.”
The discussion will focus on this beautiful shabad, and what it means to each of us. As usual, we will have a group check-in to open the meeting, followed by presentation and group discussion.

About Nirankar Singh
Nirankar was born in and spent his early youth in the Southside of Chicago. Later the family relocated to Los Angeles, CA, where the majority of his academic and musical education developed to maturity.
Music has been and continues as his dedicated vocation and integral life activity. This includes artistic performances in varied world music traditions, and in educational institutions, or private classes, projects, etc.
His initial musical inspiration is rooted in his infancy, him being a continuance of a long family tradition.
Eventually, destiny led him to embrace the 3HO Spiritual lifestyle from the teachings of Yogi Bhajan, and he is a devotee of the spiritual path of Sikh Dharma.
He presently resides in Madrid, Spain.
