Originally called Ramdaspur – Guru Ramdas’s City (the City of God’s Servant), it is now called Amritsar, which means “pool of nectar”.  Amritsar is the home of the Harimandir Sahib, affectionately called the Golden Temple.  The Golden Temple is considered one of the world’s holiest sites and holds a very special place in the hearts of Sikhs.  At the Golden Temple, you will have the opportunity to meditate and listen to Gurbani Kirtan and to participate in the Seva (selfless service) of preparing and serving the langar which is served to 100,000 people each day.

We will be staying at the Ramada Amritsar.  The Ramada is situated in the middle of Hall Bazaar, one of the best shopping areas of Amritsar for clothes, textiles, and treasures.

The hotel is also walking distance to the Golden Temple.
